Holiday Help is a Grief Recovery Program sponsored by Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Homes and the Alexandria Funeral Home. This year's presentation will feature Kathleen "Kay" Cassini, President, Griefwork of Cincinnati, Inc.
"Grief...How to cope with the Holidays - Help for the Bereaved"
This is a program for bereaved people who anticipate having difficulty getting through Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year Holidays. Helpful information and suggestions are presented on how to cope with not only the holidays, but with all the days and festivities leading to them.
About Kay Cassini:
Kathleen "Kay" Cassini is President of Griefwork of Cincinnati, Inc. Griefwork offers training seminars for people who desire to be available for the grieving. Since 1976, she has worked one on one with grieving people and is nationally recognized as a bereavement specialist.
Kay, along with Jaqueline Rogers, has written 2 books: "I Want to Help But I Don't Know How (A Step by Step Guide to Planning a Funeral and Forming a Bereavement Ministry to Assist the Grieving)" and "Death and the Classroom (A Guide for Parents and Teachers When a School Related Death has Occurred)".
Kay has completed basic training as a hospital chaplain and currently serves as a member of a parish bereavement team. She serves on the board of the National Catholic Ministry to the Bereaved and edits their national newsletter, "Journey". She also serves as chairperson for the bereavement committee at the Cincinnati Ronald McDonald House.
